Water wells are mechanical systems... eventually they will fail or need servicing. It's cheaper to identify and stop a problem from happening or getting worse than to fix it after it's already an issue.

How Can We Help?
Are you experiencing . . .
reduced water flow • strange piping noises • changes in water quality • slow drains • unpleasant odors
What our customers ask us
Signs include reduced water flow, strange tastes or odors, discoloration, or unusual noises from the pump from surging water.
Most wells can last 20-30 years, but regular maintenance is essential to extend this lifespan. Pumps typically perform well for 8-10 years.
It’s recommended to have an inspection at least twice a year, and more frequently if you notice issues.
Inspections typically include checking the pump, pressure tank, and well casing, as well as testing water quality upon request.
Regular maintenance and replacing filters. Water treatment can help improve water quality.
Stop using the water immediately and contact a professional, such as Coast to Coast, for testing and remediation.
Costs can vary based on the service needed, but you can expect to pay for inspections, repairs, or pump replacements.
Basic Inspection: $100 to $300. This may include a visual inspection of the wellhead, checking the pump, and basic water quality testing.
Comprehensive Inspection: $300 to $600+. This might include more detailed water testing (for contaminants), pressure testing, and inspection of the entire system.
While some basic maintenance can be done by homeowners, it’s best to consult a professional for inspections and repairs.
Common causes include mechanical issues with the pump, groundwater depletion, sediment buildup, and contamination.
Cover well with a tarp and put a light under tarp. Leave water trickling outside. If you build a shed make sure roof has a 2×2 hole over the well casing so well can be served.
If you experience a sudden loss of water or suspect contamination, turn off the power to the well and contact a professional for service immediately.
Pumps can fail due to water logged tank, power surges, freezing and improper sizing of pump.
